Very interesting and confusing finding!
This is the failing passing test:
assert.strictEqual(btn.onclick, changeBackgroundColor);
Here's part of the explanation why it passes:
console.log(changeBackgroundColor); // [Function: changeBackgroundColor]
console.log(btn.onclick); // null
changeBackgroundColor = (onclick);
console.log(btn.onclick); // null
console.log(onclick); // null
console.log(changeBackgroundColor); // null
Setting changeBackgroundColor
to null
also would pass.
