Link is generated and added when sending. You will not find it in email queue.
Also this feature is unreliable (as it is on every other email service) because MOST email clients do not load images by default to prevent this tracking. TBH I agree with email clients 😄

The image that I sent above of the empty 'email-pixel' field was taken from a received message (from within a gmail account, in this case). Gmail doesn't strip anything from the message content and a link would appear in the message's html source regardless of whether images are loaded. Can you please confirm where in the email body (source ), the magic link should appear? Is it supposed to be in the email-pixel div?

Ah, I just saw your commit that removes the SSL condition. That's probably it. We're using TLS, not SSL.
