Might be a good idea to discuss why the listen
method on a Fortune instance is chainable, like I'm not even sure why it would be necessary to call listen
and then defining resources, other than just for flexibility and consistency with all the other instance methods.
Why don't you call http.createServer
yourself though?
var http = require('http');
var app = require('fortune')();
var server = http.createServer(app.router);
// do some stuff, and then...
server.listen(80);

That works, too. There's definitely some fairly verbose work-arounds available.
