As a variant you can download the plugin from git

flutter_google_places:
    git:
      url: [email protected]:fluttercommunity/flutter_google_places.git
      ref: master

When is it expected to have this version update published?

I have tried the above and it does not find and download the repo with running the PUB GET

Hi,
I have the same problem, but when I try to use the workaround sudgest by @oandreyev-uniper
I obtain

Host key verification failed.
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

@ambr89 I think you need to setup ssh keys in github account.
The good place to start reading is https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/connecting-to-github-with-ssh/about-ssh

I see that the fix for this is already in code that is why the direct git pull works for some people.
@juliansteenbakker Made the change.
Any idea why it has not been published yet?
Are there other changes that need to be reviewed or is it that the change is to insignificant to warrant a publish?

@juliansteenbakker Thanks for the response.
Sad when original creators do not have time to keep up but life happens.

For those who cannot get the repo via SSH. Try and pull or fork the repo onto your local machine and then include it via path and not SSH or PubDev.

I had to do this with another project because I needed a few changes specific to my use case but not what I can push back into the repo.

By forking the project to git, can able to access from master repository. I'm closing this issue by the above reference. If anyone still facing issue feel free to re-open.
