Code signing is extremely likely to be anything to do with the SDK (I noticed that you mentioned you recently set up a new profile on the Max forum which is likely the culprit). I have not seen any change of behaviour with the new SDK and this is to do with Xcode setup, particularly as flucoma uses custom CMake scripts.

I assume as much. I should try deleting the signature in Xcode and recompiling after that. I am using -GNinja FWIW.

Okay, I deleted all my developer certificates from keychain and recompiled. The externals were not signed, so it must be pulling one of (the default?) the certificates in the build process.

There are several layers of settings in XCode from the OS defaults through the project and then various targets/config files. The default at OS level is probably to use any available profiles if nothing is being set explicitly.
