Error: "Invalid value for origin pattern [...] Wrong scheme type" about floccus HOT 16 CLOSED

Thank you for taking the time to open this issue with floccus. I know it's frustrating when software
causes problems. You have made the right choice to come here and open an issue to make sure your problem gets looked at
and if possible solved.
I'm Marcel and I created floccus and have been maintaining it ever since.
I currently work for Nextcloud which leaves me with less time for side projects like this one
than I used to have.
I still try to answer all issues and if possible fix all bugs here, but it sometimes takes a while until I get to it.
Until then, please be patient.
Note also that GitHub is a place where people meet to make software better together. Nobody here is under any obligation
to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can
collaborate to make this software better. For everyone.
Thus, if you can, you could also have a look at other issues to see whether you can help other people with your knowledge
and experience. If you have coding experience it would also be awesome if you could step up to dive into the code and
try to fix the odd bug yourself. Everyone will be thankful for extra helping hands!
One last word: If you feel, at any point, like you need to vent, this is not the place for it; you can go to the forum,
to twitter or somewhere else. But this is a technical issue tracker, so please make sure to
focus on the tech and keep your opinions to yourself.

Can you make sure you don't have a bookmark that contains https:/cloud.domain.com/: in the url part ?

nope - no bookmark with that.
the cloud.domain.com is the Nextcloud Server URL - I do not have this in my bookmarks.

also there is a problem with the timezone, maybe this is connected to this?
Failed to parse time string (cloud.domain.com Bookmarks (USERNAME) (14. Februar 2021)) at position 0 (c): The timezone could not be found in the database

I already figured out to deploy the "timezone" variable within php.ini due to this is needed from php8.2 --> but still an error there.

The timezone seems unrelated.

If you would be up for a bit of dabbling... you can access the console as follows:

Firefox

• Go to about:debugging
• Go to This firefox
• click on debug button next to floccus entry to open the console

Chrome

• Go to chrome://extensions
• enable Developer mode
• click on Service worker button in floccus' entry next to "Inspect views: " to open the console

tryed firefox, the version there is still 5.0.10.
no other browsers in use for the moment

I think it's rather unlikely that v5.0.12 specifically is the problem. Could you test with the firefox build of v5.0.12 https://github.com/floccusaddon/floccus/releases/tag/v5.0.12 on firefox? This has been reported already in march over here, I think: #1554

ok, really feeling a bit dumb, but not able to install the extension (non-verified extension error message)
also tried to change the settings in firefox within about:config but not allowing me to installing the new version :(

I also managed to see #1554, but that one is using a webdav server, I thought that's a different one

all right, managed to find a difference. I installed chrome (Version 124.0.6367.119) with floccus 5.0.12 and was able to see the domain part in the profile:

in Edge, there is no domain part --> showing NULL

seems that the new version is not putting the url back into the pattern
