Hmmm, I really like the plugin, but it requires a newer vim that the one on the ubuntu repos, and running extra installation steps (just adding a vundle is not enough). I try to make my config easy to install, so those are big problems. I will see if I can automate the extra steps, and will have to update the docs with info on how to install a newer version of vim (there is a ppa for ubuntus older tha 13.10).

Because is linux, has failry new packages (newer than Mint, Debian, Fedora,..), and it just works (easier than Arch, Debian, Gentoo). Luckily there is a distro for every need, and for my needs, Ubuntu does better :)

I guess not using unity makes it better. Anyway I'm installing this plugin now on my mac and the processes is fairly painless. Just need to run an installer with clang since I already have cmake but its less trouble than installing airline/powerline.

Not really sure why the compiler tried to download Clang 3.3 when I have 4.3 installed. This is actually a major problem.

Hmm, but did it worked? Here it works. You can also try the full installation instructions, in which you compile it manually.

Finally migrated to a combination of python-mode and neocomplcache (configured for fuzzy completion). Works better for me, so closing this issue.
