Thanks for raising this issue.
My impression is that the problem comes from this line:
profile = np.exp(exp_argument)*np.sin((np.pi*(prop_dir *(z - self.z0) - c * t))/(c*tau)) / stretch_factor ** 0.5
From this line, it seems that you would like the envelope of the laser to be a sinusoidal function np.sin
. However, you are then getting multiple lasers because np.sin
is a periodic function. I think that you should in addition use np.where
to set the envelope to 0 unless z
is close enough to z0
.
