First, I added more delimiter chars by
char[] delimiterChars = { ' ', '\t', '\r', '\n' };
string[] numberSets = line.Split(delimiterChars);
as my gps give me kml data separated by \n

Then I made sure that the fix array contain at least two numbers by
if (fix.Length < 2) continue;
because line.split will insert extra empty items in numberSets on stray delimiters.

I think AoG work in GPS coordinate system only.
you can use qgis to convert from local coordinates to gps and export as kml.
