Hi, sorry for the delay. Currently I don't have a simple fix for this unfortunately :/ But we are looking into it. It looks like the error happening on the CPU side is not properly copied to the main thread, and consequently the error message is not informative at all. What surprises me even more is that the error happens only during after a while, in the second epoch.
Do you have any other hint that could help like: does the error happen systematically, in all your experiments? is it only just after the first epoch, only when considering more than 2 languages, etc?
Regarding the workload which is too heavy, I don't think so, because in that case I would expect the model to fail almost immediately. Can you maybe try to set --max_len 100 or even --max_len 50 and see if the error still occurs?

Yes, this only happened when sampling 3 languages. For 2 languages, this never happens.
I will try the hparams you mentioned.
