Nope it should be in the order of milliseconds. Our benchmarks currently dont work on lollipop because lollipop changed the runtime to ART and the current vogar build does not support ART. I'm working on upgrading vogar now to figure out whether there is an issue.

Those benchmark graphs on the project site, how much data was that encoding on the Galaxy y?

Yeah, decoding is less than 50ms, but writing is crazy bad.

The benchmarks are on 100KB of data, so it shouldn't be much more different. Let me try getting the vogar benchmarks up and running on art

Okay I found the problem .. There was another FilterOutputStream that was doing a try/catch in the writes ... thanks for the quick responses!
