1, you have not filled out the issue template, anyway that error indicates you have not updated to latest version, the tests pass under PHP 8 now.

No!!! V5 is a branch, use composer update to get current version.
The branch is for something different that will eventfully break current version tree, it's for testing will not be merged.
Anyway, the error is an simple fix, do a PR on master.

I installed it using Composer.
Error in ezFunctions.php file.
errors.log shows errors
