Incorrect thumbnail mimetype after storing to s3 about carrierwave-video-thumbnailer HOT 3 CLOSED

The solution is:

include CarrierWave::MimeTypes

version :video_thumb, :if => :video? do
process thumbnail: [{format: 'png', quality: 10, size: 200, strip: true, logger: Rails.logger}]
process :set_png_content_type
def full_filename for_file
png_name for_file, version_name
end
end

def set_png_content_type
self.file.instance_variable_set(:@content_type, "image/png")
end

This was removed from carrierwave. As of now it seems impossible to set the mime type correctly using this gem.

EDIT: False alarm! You don't need to include the mime type carrierwave stuff. Just set the content type in a :process method. I just wasn't actually sending it to S3 in dev!
