Apple's guidelines specifies that UIActivityViewControllers should be performing simple and fast tasks, similar to extensions in iOS 8. Having login/registration logic in ENSaveToEvernoteActivity is against this guideline.
In iOS, for example, if user have not configured Facebook account, the Facebook activity would launch Settings app and dismiss the sharing sheet.
I think ideally this should be the recommended way to handle sign in. The client app can fork the ENSaveToEvernoteActivity to check if ENSession is authorized, and if not, launch the SettingsViewController and dismiss the share action.
