installation and ev3dev version ? about ev3dev-lang HOT 3 CLOSED

I'm trying to compile the c++ code under Linux Ubuntu. Could you explain all stuff that is needed to build and execute correctly your cpp source code ? I'm using gcc 4.3.3 (arm-2009q1) and I think you use newer version of gcc ?

My code use newer features of C++11, so gcc 4.3.3 might be too old. I am using gcc 4.7.3, be sure to install a linux-gnueabi version (the bare metal version which is used to compile the kernel does not include all necessary headers and libraries for user mode program compilation).

If you have installed the compiler, create a shell script for setting the cross-compile variables for make:

TOOLCHAIN=**path to your GCC linux gnuabi installation**\>/bin
export CC=${TOOLCHAIN}/arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc
export CXX=${TOOLCHAIN}/arm-none-linux-gnueabi-g++
export AR=${TOOLCHAIN}/arm-none-linux-gnueabi-ar
export RANLIB=${TOOLCHAIN}/arm-none-linux-gnueabi-ranlib
export LD=${TOOLCHAIN}/arm-none-linux-gnueabi-ld

Now source ./setenv.sh; make all should compile all cpp test programs.
