@marikavertzonis could not access the box link - so have gone through the issues and crafted something:

New features

  • Direct connection to an external GNSS receiver is now supported
  • The destination can now be entered as decimal degrees, degrees minutes seconds, degrees decimal minutes, UTM (WGS84), USNG or MGRS coordinates.
  • Bearing values are displayed on the navigation page (as well as the direction arrow).
  • Accuracy value now shown to two decimal places.
  • Reduced direction arrow bouncing when stationary.
  • Now when using the experimental compass mode, you will see a compass indicator in the top left-hand corner of the navigation page as a reminder.
  • Improved timing and display of arrival at your destination.
  • Improved speed in getting a 'fix' when Trek2There is launched from another app.
  • Coordinates can now also be copy / pasted from another app on Android (previously only iOS).
  • On Windows, when you launch Trek2There from another app, a new instance is no longer launched if an existing one is already open

Known issues

  • UWP - Not being able to connect to USB/COM GPS
  • UWP - Unable to connect to a Bluetooth device
  • Windows classic app - When we try to change the device and connect to a different Bluetooth GPS device, the app becomes non-responsive and the title shows 'Not Responding'.

@JohnHasthorpe We also support USNG. Pretty important for Search and Rescue teams. http://napsg.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=4914d6e6e47041e098c093701ff2e50e

@marikavertzonis Just to summarise where we are:

  • The released version for iOS, Android and Windows was 3.0.36 (builds are currently suspended)
  • The version given to Rex was 3.0.37 (as some changes were required for UWP store readiness). This is not in the store yet.

We will update the store versions with 3.0.37 post-UC as we don't want to delay things now.

  • I have emailed Alan C about the Marketplace update
