It looks like there is a bug in the most recent version of color theme in the ELPA. Color theme is one of two packages that the starter kit installs by default through ELPA (the other being yasnippet). I would recommend reporting this problem to the maintainer of the color theme ELPA package whose contact information should be at the top of the .emacs.d/elpa/color-theme-6.6.1/color-theme.el file.
As a temporary fix I would recommend removing 'color-theme from line 276 of starter-kit.org, and possibly installing another version of color theme into your src directory.
