Can you please be more specific to what is wrong (and where)?

I see now. You are asking a question. Please ask questions on the metrics mailing list. This is an issue system, not a forum.
BTW, the answer can be (should be) found in the metrics (core) documentation.

I have created some health checks, can't see them in JMX. So thought maybe
had to the health registry to JMX. but found
JmxReporter.forRegistry doesn't take a health registry
If its not the case that I have to do that would be nice to know how to get
the health checks to appear in JMX
e.g. code is:
class JMXUI extends UI with nl.grons.metrics.scala.InstrumentedBuilder
with nl.grons.metrics.scala.CheckedBuilder{
val metricRegistry = new com.codahale.metrics.MetricRegistry()
val registry = new com.codahale.metrics.health.HealthCheckRegistry()
....
val reporter = JmxReporter.forRegistry(metricRegistry).build()
reporter.start()
...
healthCheck("database"){dbOk.booleanValue}
Thanks.
