Server not starting in background about grunt-express-server HOT 3 CLOSED

Hi,

I'm sorry to bug you again but this one is a real blocker for me and I'd really appreciate your help. Can you gimme some hints / just a little junk of information that might help me to fix this problem?

Hi,

oh my... I got it. I have to set delay because my server has no output on startup.

express: {
    options: {},
    dev: {
        options: {
            script: './app/backend/index.js',
            nospawn: true,
            delay: 5
        }
    }
}

It's now working fine. Thanks for that great piece of software. :)

What's odd is that I thought "Starting background Express server" would've been enough to trigger it!

One other thing to try is making sure you export your server:

// app/backend/index.js
module.exports = app.listen(app.get('port'), function() {
  log("Express server listening on port " + app.get('port'));
});
