No, markdown-preview-plus doesn't solve the problem. Markdown-preview-plus is just a much better markdown-preview.
My use for atom-broadcast was to see the preview on my second screen. I have not found any way to get an Atom tab into a separate screen. If that would be possible, then markdown-preview-plus would be an alternative for me.

I believe that this issue has been fixed in atom-broadcast v0.4.0 with this commit.

@eqot it solved it for Markdown, but doesn't solve it for reStructuredText Preview Pandoc where it generates the an error using broadcast 0.4.0.
Since your commit fixes rendered Markdown broadcasting, I've submitted the reStructuredText issue as a separate one: #13
