Uuuh... this seems really obscure.
tracing shows the following:
Device::Swap takes about 100ms
Drawing the scene takes about 0.031 ms
Drawing the UI takes about 0.039 ms
Something is bugging out.

Seems like a system specific problem.
After installing acpid, enlightment and doing a syste update the problem has resolved itself :o
Actually it's firefox. Firefox with about 20 window groups and +100 tabs causes massive system perf degradation
from detonator.
