Hi @roldugin, when you say "alias" you mean "symbolic link" I guess. fswatch
behaviour depend on its underlying monitor and OS X FSEvents API does not provide this functionality.
fswatch
v. 1.0.0 (which is still being worked on, but you can grab the sources and compile them yourself) implements the -L/--follow-links
option in the poll monitor. This way, you could observe a symbolic link and follow it. However, the poll monitor has a lot of disadvantages since it does not rely on any OS API (such as FSEvent or kqueue) but manually scans the file system instead. Further information on the poll monitor are found in the README
file.
