Feature request: Indentation in php-html mixed mode about php-mode HOT 3 CLOSED

Could it be possible to implement internal indentation rules for html in php-mode?

It is possible but I doubt you could find anyone willing to put forth the effort to do it, lol. Personally I do not mix PHP and HTML or JS, but I recognize that some people do, so I don't want php-mode to be completely useless in those situations. I have heard some people have had success using mumamo in conjunction with php-mode. And in the mean time I will see how easy or hard it may be to integrate with mmm-mode.

I haven't gone back to doing anything with mumamo (or nxhtml) but one thing that should be cleaned up to help out working with mmm-mode is to allow configuration of the file patterns that php-mode adds to 'auto-mode-alist. mmm-mode attempts to default php files in html-mode and use sub-modes as php, but php-mode effectively overrides this as its pattern list is not configurable.

Thanks Chris, that is a good idea. I am going to make a new issue for it. I'm also going to close this one; I have todo items to improve compatibility with other modes like mmm-mode, multi-web-mode, et al., but I currently have no intention of implementing HTML indentation in PHP Mode.
