Sorry for being late on this. Github didn't send the notification.
So you are using quick popup for help. My user pattern is different. I disabled automatic help popup (it is really annoying) and bind the help popup to a key M-h (I have explained this ion emacs wiki http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/ESSAuto-complete). So I call help only when I need it.
If implement your suggestion I won't get any help on M-h, and that is confusing. I really want to know if the help is available or not. It is in principle possible to check if popup is called interactively or not. I will see that can be done.

Thanks for the reply. I actually disabled the quick popup for help recently and switched to your way.
