Note: This shim does not work in Internet Explorer versions less than 8.

Pretty much every other browser will work since very early browser versions.

Thanks @eligrey - the reason I asked is because the version of the shim provided by mozilla appears to be older (at least judging from the date in the commented section), and it wasn't clear if their docs were up to date. That's why having the info in your repo as the primary source of truth would be ideal.

It's a wiki. If the script is out of date, anyone can update it.

True - the problem is, if the wiki is a couple of years old, one can update the script but wouldn't know if IE6/7 support had been added in the interval time without digging through the commits.
