ActionRequestValidationException on bulk insert of single item about elasticsearch-py HOT 4 CLOSED

I am unable to replicate this locally, could you please provide some more information? Can you reproduce it reliably? Could you please attach a sample of the data?

I added a test to master, hopefully the CI server will manage to reproduce it.

This error is happening in our production system, but it hasn't happened yet locally. This is not exactly surprising since we don't use the same elasticsearch version. I'll drop some debug statements to gather more information the next time it happens in production.

Thanks, any details would be appreciated. Meanwhile I added the test which is run against every release of elasticsearch in our CI so if it happens I will catch it.

I haven't seen the issue crop back up since dropping in the debug statements. The statements are still there though, so if it happens again I can reopen with a little more info. Thanks @honzakral and apologies that I can't provide any more detail.
