Sorry for the late response. No, there was no incentive to build without user interface, so the command line only build was removed.

Thank you for the response. So there was a time this was allowed? If so, can you tell me what I should search for in the commit as far as when it was removed? Perhaps I can build an older version of this emulator.

Here is the old commit that still retains the command-line. It uses GLFW for window management and ImGui for UI. There are many things that have changed in the emulator that I think this code can't run correctly.
Edit: But I think you want to build an old version of the emulator, so that's ok. But the compatibility will be worse.
