Unfortunately, without specific steps to reproduce, I can't debug this.
However, here's what I would suggest:
- run
:Tmuxline airline
(you can also check the README for more options; I assume you're using airline) - run
:TmuxlineSnapshot ~/.tmuxline.conf
- in ~/.tmux.conf, add
source-file ~/.tmuxline.conf
This way, tmux should always have its configuration (no need to run vim to set it)

Hi @edkolev, thanks. It's already configured this way. I use Terminal in fullscreen, sometimes when I switch to another application using mission control, and afterwards switch back to the previous Terminal window, tmux's line has missed its configuration, so I open vim and close it.

Hm.. seems like something is changing tmux configuration. Maybe some other tmux tool? Sorry, I don't think I can provide a solution to this.. it could be anything which executes tmux set ...

@edkolev ok, no problem. Thanks anyway, I'd just like to know first whether anyone was experiencing the same. If I recall correctly, I experience this both on OS X as on Arch.

👍
Adding the source-file ~/.tmuxline.conf
to the top of my .tmux.conf fixed every problem with the layout I was having before.
Thanks @edkolev

Glad that fixed it!
