BTC - <currency> value not updating about airbitz-core HOT 5 OPEN

We had a bug similar to this in an older version of Airbitz. What version of the Airbitz are you using? The exchange rate should be updated once a minute.

Hmm... well it would appear that it is updating after a minute now (that wasn't the case previously I may have updated it without paying attention lol).

If I could suggest to make it call the update when opening the app though as well that would be nice as it stands it takes a minute after opening it before the rate shows correctly.

We do make a call to update the exchange rate as soon as the user logs in or when the app comes back into the foreground. However we only make this call if the last exchange rate is more than 1 minute old. How out of date is the exchange rate you are seeing?

I think a bug was introduced which doesn't update the exchange rate on that screen until you type something into either fiat or BTC fields. We'll have it fixed in the next version. Thanks for pointing it out

@teneighty in most cases where I haven't opened it in several days it's several days out of date.

Unfortunately (not to argue) typing something does not cause it to update to the right value @paullinator (just checked).
