Interestingly, I've found that the firebase connection is still initialized, even given this error. I don't know what is generating this error or why, but it doesn't impact my app negatively, so I'm closing it for now.

I'm having this exact same error. I noticed that the initialization is being completed because I can use login. Now, if I use this line, firebase.addChildEventListener(this.onChildEvent, "/menu"); my app doesn't work at all. Any idea?
Update:
This only happens on Android. iOS is working well without any problems or warnings.
Update 2:
I think my problem was the read rules of my firebase database.... My bad 😅
My problem was that I changed the authentication system and forgot to change my rules. Hope this helps someone.
(Don't know how was working on iOS)
