That's because Frontier's server hosting the "Companion" API that this app uses is down.
Based on experience with 1.3 and 1.4 I expect that it will be back up tomorrow.

Companion App crashes on start (at least for me at the moment). So i assume problem is on frontier side.

The companion app has been crashing upon launch for a very long time now, I think even before 1.4, so I wouldn't use it as a way to know if the servers are up or down.

The "New Issue" button is up there ^^^ if you would like these crashes fixed. Please provide as much detail as possible - OS version, error message, etc.

Didn't realise you were talking about the official iOS companion app. Yes, it's never worked on iOS 9.

For info, Fiddler seems to be returning a 200 from the API, but zero bytes coming back. Definitely an issue with their api rather than the EDMC

I've only been in E:D for about 2½ weeks, and I just installed MC today, so... has this happened with 1.4 too? If not, then it might not be coming back if the app for which the server is actually intended doesn't work anyway.

ok , some news,
there was a commit yesterday to the project !!
but the proble is eddb.io will not actualyze on his own ^^, the last modification was 4 days ago ^^
