marco-portal's Issues

embedded map legend

Embedded maps should have an option (optional?) for embedded legends.

Note: Current legends have white (not transparent) background...

paint brush lease block selection

Current clicking strategy works fine (required for IE8 and below), but a better strategy would be welcomed.
Paint brush strategy should work.
User presses mouse button and drags over lease blocks to toggle them on.
Additional Click events to toggle blocks (for fine tuning).
UTFGrid mouse move events should be able to capture this and OpenLayers stylemap should be able to toggle them on/off.

Get support email address setup

Something like [email protected].

Find out who to coordinate with, probably midatlanticocean.org administrator. If not a mailing list, get it to forward to all of the right people. Should there be a point person for the stakeholder group on this list?

Embedded Map Enhancements

See the GSAA mockups for what features we may be looking for.
Will comment more after I track this down...

Final testing

Everybody bang on it. Someone check all major browsers IE 7/8/9, Firefox and Chrome

caching the data layers might have gone too far

this cache prevents data layers from being updated via the admin (and displayed on the site) until the cache is cleared on the server (which requires ssh'ing to the server)...seems like this might become a problem eventually...

feature request - catalog hierarchical listing

The default catalog listing is 'flat' alphabetical layer name ordering within each theme. User requested the default listing to be similar to 'visualize' layer listing with collapsible sections and preservation of layer sub-groupings. My suggestion if this were the case would be to also add a 'flat' listing option as well to allow toggling between a hierarchical and flat listing of layers and associated links.

fullscreen issue with data panel

Showing data panel from fullscreen mode initially shows empty panel (data view in all tabs is restored once additional tabs are selected)

Setup dev portal networking

Agree on URL. dev.portal.midatlanticocean.org

Find out who manages midatlanticocean.org and coordinate with them on setting up the DNS.

Additional UTF Grids

Needed (potentially) for the following data layers:

Marine Jurisdictions?
Fathom Lines?
Waterbird Survey might improve the content
AIS?
Offshore Discharge Flow
Principal Ports
AWC Routes & Hubs โ€“ might lower the precision level of the routes
DoD Wind Stipulation Areas
Danger Zones & Restricted Areas

ie9 small screen

narrow screen sizes present a poor view of the landing page for users on IE9.
solution might be to change wordpress header from span5 and 7 to spans 4 and 8

mobile slide view

Tim Welch showed me an app on his phone that slid right but didn't completely leave the screen, leaving enough of the sliding panel to display a button that was in the top left of that panel...could be an answer to the current nav concerns

Final testing

Everybody bang on it. Someone check all major browsers IE 7/8/9, Firefox and Chrome

share modal is empty

when a user has not been added to any sharing groups.
might add a message, when empty, rather than leave it empty

Active Tab does not use scrollbar

When the number of active layer exceeds the height of the active tab, the layers continue to be added down the page instead of in a scrollable panel.

Final testing

Everybody bang on it. Someone check all major browsers IE 7/8/9, Firefox and Chrome
