this should be implemented as a separate helper script

scp host:path/to/file >(cat)

For the record that would be:

ssh host.dyne.org 'cat secret.tomb.key' | tomb open -k - secret.tomb

This is a very useful feature to keep keys separated across servers... I'm reopening the issue because I still see some bugs to be squashed and the cleanup of temporary keys that we mentioned.
