on Ubuntu, docker needs to be run with sudo. This is because .docker (normally located in the home folder) is locked. The container will spin up, but it won't do anything. Need to make bash catch this error and report to user that they need permissions, ie run on command line with sudo. Unless there is another way. No idea why it is locked.

Security documents say using sudo is very strongly advised, since releagating sudo to use introduces serious security problems. password request added to script.
