I followed the example code, and then run grunt. I cannot see any email is sent out in console. It seems grunt-nodemailer is not executed. Here is the configuration:

grunt.initConfig({
  nodemailer: {
    options{
       transport:{},
       message:{},
       recipients:[]
    }
  }
});

grunt.loadNpmTasks("grunt-nodemailer");
grunt.task.run("nodemailer");

After researching several hours, I found it seems grunt needs the task name and option section name to run the task. So code grunt.task.run("nodemailer") will never be called. We need to use grunt.task.run("nodemailer:email") and update configuration as below to invoke nodemailer:

grunt.initConfig({
  nodemailer: {
    email:{
        options{
           transport:{},
           message:{},
           recipients:[]
        }
    }
  }
});

grunt.loadNpmTasks("grunt-nodemailer");
grunt.task.run("nodemailer");

And now, it works. When I run grunt, grunt-nodemailer will send email. Please update the sample code in document.

from grunt-nodemailer.

Hi,

maybe i got it wrong. grunt-nodemailer is a multitask plugin, so to run it properly you need to at least set a subtask like you did with email. The options property could be set per-subtask, as child of a subtask, or plugin-wide as a first child of nodemailer. In this latter scenario options will be inherited by substasks.
The plugin documentation seems to follow these rules. May you point me the specific typos in README.md

from grunt-nodemailer.
