The master branch isn't stable at present. I'm aware this is unintuitive, and will be fixing it in the relatively near future. Sorry for the inconvenience. My advice would be to use one of the releases, but it sounds like you've tried at least one of them, is that correct? I think we should focus on helping you get one specific version running first.

By "set up as usual," am I safe assuming you followed the server setup instructions here, and the robot setup instructions either here or here?

I've tried all 3 branches, all have program-breaking bugs.
master crashes whenever it receives anything from the bot
1.0.1 repeatedly reconnects because "robot [name] is already connected"
in 1.0.0 the browser interface doesn't work at all

And yes, i followed those instructions.

I'll attempt to reproduce your issues by doing a fresh install of the 1.0.1 version on my own system. I'll let you know how it goes! (It'll be a bit until I can though)

My best guess as to how this happened is I created 1.0.1 while the repository had a different set of robot code than I was using to test it. I marked it as a pre-release for the reason that I didn't test it as much, and I suppose this is the result. You're right that 1.0 also has significant issues. Eventually I'll get around to releasing a new version that solves these problems, and I'll close this issue then.

Pretty sure I've fixed the bug in the TCP-reading code on the server that was causing the master branch to crash intermittently when receiving messages from robots. It should be included the next time I test things for a release.

I've just now fixed the source of "1.0.1 repeatedly reconnects because "robot [name] is already connected"" mentioned above.
