The --snooze
plugin was contributed by someone and proved very useful to find timer problems (mostly related to bad virtualization, e.g. old vmware), but I hardly ever use it. I was wondering what your use-case was ?
Also, I cannot seem to reproduce it myself. Could there be anything else contributing to this ? Terminal emulator ? Shell ? TERM settings ?
Can you try the following ? Does this reproduce it for you ?
[dag@moria dstat]$ dstat --snooze 5 1 | cat

I didn't know what --snooze was, but it sounded like it might be useful, so I added it to my command-line to test it out. Bottom line: I don't really have a use-case... :-)
The command: dstat --snooze 5 1 | cat
does print what is expected of it.
Without the pipe through 'cat', it prints (and I see ...) 4 intermediate values in light gray, and then it prints the final value in white, which is not visible on my white background.
So, the problem is that --snooze uses white as color for the final value, and my backgdound is also white, which makes it invisible.
As the option --bw exists for this purpose, I tried that, however the colors used by --snooze are not affected, so the white text is still not visible on my white background.
Could it be that your version of dstat is configured differently, so that --snooze does not use white text on your system ?

Ok, now I understand and yes, I can reproduce it. And I even know what is going on. A fix is within reach ;-)
