JSMin will insert new comments for you, as many as you like, at the top of the output file.

I mean that jsmin shouldn't remove important comments like
/*! some vendor comment..... */

by example YUI minifier has a section on its code where preserve that type comments..

YUI compressor uses a modified version of Rhino to detect important comments which have the form /*! ... */. Important comments are preserved and present in the minified output from YUI compressor. This is a good thing as they are often used to include copyright and licensing information.
