remarks highlight is a valid concern about static event handlers, perhaps this is a generic text for all static events? The code sample just does not reflect specific scenario where the leak might happen. It could be a case of multiple AppDomains, or a case when an object that handles Application.ThreadException has a shorter live time than the application, for example a dialog, and you would want to detach event handler in order to get that dialog disposed.

We could add "when your application object or the object that handles the event is disposed".
