probably unrelated to the tunnel, and more related to you using windows 8 or 2012 or something else unsupported by cord but supported my MS RDC?

@KevinRaney and @ojosdegris, make sure the server has NLA turned off. On the server, go to Control Panels, System, then choose "Remote settings" from the sidebar, and make sure something along the lines of "Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication" is not checked, because CoRD doesn't support it.
