We are not using anything unsupported by 1.0 (since that is the first "LTS" release) and we should not support any Docker version before 1.0. We will make a note on the Docker Hub descriptions since many images use onbuild and copy.

Nope. Anything less than Docker latest release (and latest master) is strictly "best effort" - we're happy to accept issues about things that are broken on Docker 1.0, and we'll do our best to work around them or fix them, but that's definitely where the hard line in the sand is: anyone running anything less than Docker 1.0 should upgrade at the very least to 1.0 (that was part of the point of the 1.0 release, after all).
I'm planning to add some verbiage to all the descriptions to note this, so it's good that we're hashing out the details.
