This should work again in 2.3-alpha.

I only realised I'd broken this very late in the process, and it was just easier to warn folks it was broken than fix it at that point. :) I definitely want some form of hard-coded configuration to return, I'm just not sure what that looks like yet. It could be as simple as a checkbox in the UI to "Disable Discovery" once your bulbs have been enumerated.

I'll certainly make sure folks get to test whatever it is I come up with for usability before any decisions are made. :)

@Djelibeybi Tried updating alpha via HACs, but errors out with version number.

2022-02-21 12:07:59 ERROR (SyncWorker_4) [homeassistant.loader] The custom integration 'lifx' does not have a valid version key (2.3-alpha) in the manifest file and was blocked from loading. See https://developers.home-assistant.io/blog/2021/01/29/custom-integration-changes#versions for more details

I manually specified 2.3.1 in manifest and tried uncommenting my LIFX config file but then get:

Weird. It upgraded via HACS for me just fine. I've bumped it to v2.3 so let's see if that works.

@Djelibeybi HACS versioning fixed, but still get the above error when I try to uncomment out my LIFX yaml, so still can't manually specify lights via config.yaml (or includes).

Closing this as I'm archiving this beta.
