Parler generates permissions longer than 50 chars about django-parler HOT 2 OPEN

Thanks for reporting this issue! What you can try, is adding the meta verbose_name yourself.

For example:

translations = TranslatedFields(..., meta={'verbose_name': "short title"})

For Django 1.7 it makes sense to add default_permissions = () to the model Meta, to disable creating permission fields. I'm not sure what can be done for Django 1.5/1.6 though to make that work out of the box. :-(
