Adding post/get parameters is the same as in 0.8.x eg. <<? for get params << for post params both taking a Traversable[(String,String)]. Same goes for setting if its POST/GET/PUT/etc.. its just like before. You just call the method on the request such as Http(url("http://www.google.com").POST OK as.String) Adding headers isn't in 0.9.0 but already committed to master. I take this isn't in the doc mostly because its works mostly the same as in 0.8.x, not all the methods were finalized yet, and understanding how to work with promises is is a bigger part of the api. You can also always call methods from async-client's RequestBuilder since this library is just enriching that class as can be seen in requests.scala

from reboot.
