Hello,
DPI / PPI is not the image quality and not affects it in any way. It can affect the image size when printing.
You can set the DPI using an image editor. If you want to change this number from your Go program, I think you should look for any package that allows to read/write an image EXIF data. So you can replace it after saving an image.
