atx4vc's Issues

Request: have a look at adapting the ATX4VC for the Powermac G4

The power supply in these Powermacs are known to fail, so I expect there will be a market for them. They are non-standard ATX-style.

There are a few wrinkles regarding Standby/Trickle power, as described here: http://atxg4.com/gige-da.html

I have the ATX4VC, recently received, with the daughter board that gives you the soft power button.

I have built a wiring harness as described there, with the two diodes, and wired it to the ATX4VC, and so far haven't had the luck to get a rise out of the machine. There may still be something else wrong with my G4, or in the manner I'm hooking up the ATX4VC, or in the manner of soft-powering.

If you would like more detail about my setup, I will happily oblige.

Support for Classic/Classic II?

Hey just wanted to check in to see if the SE and SE/30 solution would also support the Classics?

Thanks! I found this solution on Action Retro on YouTube and it's impressive!

Can't use MCU daughterboard with MOLEX auxiliary power connector.

I was disappointed to find that on the 2 ATX4VCs that I have purchased the MCU daughter board overlaps the MOLEX auxiliary power connector, so both can not be used at the same time.
I had to mount the MCU daughterboards away from the ATX4VCs using a six pin extender cable.
Looking at the photo in the user manual, the MCU daughterboard does not overlap the auxiliary connector, so something has changed on the latest production!
