Just to let you know that there is a plugin called Pane Relief that recently added the feature of Maximise the Active Pane.
Since it's a plugin that is recently updated, maybe you you wont get this bug with that plugin 🙏

In fact I get the same problem with Pane Relief. I found that the problem is related with "Sliding Panes" plugin.
