Installer should contain binaries for both Java 7 and Java 8 about dcevm HOT 5 CLOSED

Resources are copied by build job on Jenkins before installer is packaged. I definitely can modify it to copy binaries into subdirectories.

Ok, I will create a patch to load resources from subdirectory by resolved Java major version (1.7, 1.8). Installer should indicate which version is available.

What about 1.6, maybe we could just bundle the original dcevm 1.6 build? Can we ignore minor version - is it safe to override it always with latest DCEVM build?

I can try finding the original patch for 1.6.

As for minor version, usually the latest one would work, but not always. I think, in 1.7 there was some incompatible change around update 45.

It would be great if the installer can handle all latest java versions. If there is an incompatible change in java 1.7, can you also add older DCEVM version for older 1.7 releases? Installer#getVersionDir(javaVersion) needs to be modified to map java version to a version dir.

Installer should match major and minor version. However, it would be better to release jdk-hotswap as alternative JDK to downlaod instead of installers.
