composer update is failing about scibib HOT 2 CLOSED

that's a problem with your PHP installation missing the intl extension (http://php.net/manual/de/book.intl.php).

In PHP5 you could install it with apt-get install php5-intl.
In PHP7 you can either try the PPA (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34294852/how-to-install-enable-intl-and-xsl-extensions-after-installing-php-7) or add if you know you already installed it, you can it to your php.ini with extension=php_intl.dll.

Thanks for the hint. What finally helped, was the following commands. I didn't have to manually add the extensions to the php.ini.

sudo apt install php7.0-intl
sudo apt install php7.0-xsl
sudo apt install php7.0-mbstring

OS: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.4.0-59-generic x86_64)
