Testing suggests that the seams are visible regardless of the resolution of the input images.

Given the appearance of the gaps, though, I wonder if the problem isn't the scaling math, but the positioning of the surface images on screen. Do we just need to shift a few of the images to the left or right one pixel?

I've fixed a few of the seams. The remaining seams appear to be between adjacent floor tiles. In particular:

  • There's a seam between the floor tile one square directly ahead and the tile to the right of that.
  • There's no seam between the floor tile one square ahead and the tile to the left of that; however, the way these tiles connect suggest that not all of the source image pixels were mapped to the floor tile.

I believe I've closed all the seams for now, though it's possible more seams will arise if different geometry options are chosen.
